It is in fashion to trash this state because of its higher cost of living, and unfortunately a serious homeless crisis. And, there is a valid reason why so many want to live here; whether for the economic possibilities, the cutting edge of consciousness and technology, the weather, or the immense and wildly diverse natural landscape. Yet California indeed still holds the promise of the West and infinite possibility.
